William Perkin Sport
William Perkin has a vision for sport that combines offering our students the opportunity to experience quality sport provision in core elective lessons as well as their extended elective programme.
During curriculum lessons, William Perkin students focus on our main sports:
- Football, Rugby, Cricket and Athletics for boys
- Netball, Football, Dance, Cricket/Rounders and Athletics for girls
These are supported by after school clubs which develop competitive sport further whilst being open to all.
An Extended Elective Programme takes place after school from 4.00pm to 5.30pm every day.
This includes a range of sports clubs and activities as well as those linked to the academic core subjects and the five Core Elective areas.

Community Outreach and Partners
We are passionate about integrating with the local community to share our passion for sport. Through our work with key partners such as Sport England, the Football Association and Ealing Borough Council we have developed outstanding facilities that provide new and exciting opportunities for all in the local area not just the William Perkin students. We are hoping to continue to grow these facilities and partnerships further in the future. We are currently working with Middlesex County Cricket Club to boost opportunities for cricket for the local community and recently opened the Wilf Slack Cricket Centre at William Perkin CofE High School.
Photos of the event, which was officially opened by Wilf Slack's sister, Phyllis, can be viewed in the gallery below.
We have developed close links with our local feeder primary schools by providing sport specific coaching sessions led by William Perkin teaching staff to develop their skills in key sports such as Netball, preparing students for sport and life at William Perkin. We have also opened up our facilities in the morning to these schools to enable more effective PE lessons, as well as tournaments and sporting events.
Earlier on this year, our local Schools Sport Partnership Team ran their Primary school football tournaments on our brand new 3G AstroTurf pitch . Over 500 primary school pupils were involved in the 3 events, whilst 30 William Perkin Year 9 and 10 Sports Leaders, who recently completed the FA junior football leaders award, assisted with the refereeing and organisation.
