William Perkin CE High school in Greenford has exceeded national standards once again with its 2024 A-Level results. Whilst the percentage of top grades across the country fell to pre-covid levels, at William Perkin they continued to improve.
29% of students achieved top A & A* grades in a school where the majority subjects continue to be Science and Maths. Computing has also become a significant strength. This year 25 students achieved the significant feat of all A/A* grades across all 3 subjects the majority of whom were studying a combination of STEM subjects (Science / Maths/ Computing) which was another personal best for the school.
Top scorers amongst these were Hassan Al-Shoek, Helena Chung, Mohammed Jafari, Zuzanna Kwasniewska and Mesoma Osuji, all of whom achieved either 3 or 4 A* grades.
Once again William Perkin also achieved outstanding success in progression onto competitive courses such as Medicine and dentistry. Star students going on to become medics or dentists include Hassan Al-Shoek (dentistry at the University of Plymouth), Muhammad Jafari (dentistry at King’s College), Menahil Raja (medicine at UCL), Vira Gosai (medicine at Queen Mary’s University of London), Nushin Miah (medicine at Queen Mary’s University of London), Anisa Mojbaf (medicine at the University of Southampton) and Mustafa Zainy (medicine at Queen Mary’s University of London).

Headteacher Amy Newman commented : ‘William Perkin’s 6th form has continued to support students to have the highest aspirations and push themselves to achieve their very best. I am very proud of the continued improvement which bucks the national trend ‘
