On Monday 1st July, students from Thames West Language Hub schools William Perkin and Ada Lovelace were invited to perform at the German Embassy Sommerfest, hosted at the Goethe Institut in London. Students performed German literary and musical pieces such as Bach’s Jesus bleibet meine Freude and folktales die drei Schmetterlinge and Rapunzel. Students then enjoyed speeches and awards from the German ambassador, Axel Scheffler and the Gimagine programme, before a reception with delicious German food.
