Is that real blood on our Paramedic jackets?!

A question the student were asking themselves when they went into the paramedic simulation room!!

On Friday 16 May, the Elite Scientists presented their research findings on their project "Investigating Synaesthetic elements in Non Synaesthetic Year 7-9 students” via a talk with their poster to their fellow peers and academics at Saint George's, University of London.

They elicited a lot of courage to do this!!  Well done!

The students had a great day attending the following activities:

9:30-10:30 School Presentation rehearsal in Lecture Theatre

10:30-10:40- Welcome to City St. George's  by Dr Clara Cieza-Borrella.

10:40-11:20- Students presentation and questions in Lecture Theatre.  Thank you presentations to Clara, Krisztina, (and Valeria by Videolink).

11:40-12:15- Students talk and questions in Lecture Theatre.

12:15-12:30- Dr Juulia Ahvensalmi giving a talk about St George's history, Edward Jenner and Blossom the Cow

13:30- 15;00- Library talk and quiz by Rosalind Ogden and tour of  the paramedics simulation rooms with Sarah (Lecturer) and Nathan (London Paramedics). Brief tour of labs.

The students really enjoyed their day, however they were very excited about the paramedic simulation rooms, where they were in a simulated nightclub and simulated house fire.

It was a great day, well done to everyone!

Amazing talks, amazing library, and amazing paramedic simulation!!
