Aurelio Manave School Update
We got some exciting news from our partner school in Maciene village, from their headteacher on the 19th January.
The academic year starts on the 23rd January in Mozambique. Over the summer break, the school has been making purchases with the money raised by students at William Perkin and Twyford in their sponsored walks.
The pictures show the newly acquired educational resources:
A box of security cameras for the computer room. The computers are also pictured, with the school’s chair of governors with the computers in one of the images. The computers arrived today; the power supply now needs to be restored to get them working.
The pictures also show some of the books bought for the library: Portuguese language texts for English and Visual Education; and two novels, ‘The Last Flight of the Flamingo’ and ‘The Seventh Oath’. We can be happy to know that the students in Aurelio Manave will start their new academic year with these books and computers. We wish them a good start to the term!
